Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Husband in jail, how to get a divorce?

My husband has been convicted of assault on a family member. He is now serving time here in Texas somewhere. He was sentenced on May 14, 2001 for just a little over a year. I would like to know if there is a way to get a divorce without his signature and him not knowing where I am at? Please e-mail back at [email protected]. Thank you for your assistance in this matter, as I would like to get on with my life.

It is actually easy to divorce a guy in prison. You have the papers served at the prison. I believe that you will need an attorney to handle the details for you.

If you live in the Houston area, please give me a call at 713-847-6000. I offer a free phone consultation.

Best of luck!
