Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband has joint custody with his ex-wife over their 15 year old daughter who now wants to live with us. The ex has decided that she is not going to put up a fight and that we can have her. The problem we have is that the mom plans on moving out of state very soon, and we need to know what steps we need to take to get custody changed along with child support. We appreciate any advice in advance.

Thanks,

Stacy

You can file an agreed motion to modify the decree. An attorney can handle this for a reasonable sum, since the parties are in agreement. You want to move quickly before she changes her mind.

Based on your zip code it looks like your case is probably in Harris County. So am I. If you want me to help you, you are looking at me putting you on a "fast track". It's summer so many courts are on a "slow track" plus many family court judges are retiring this year or are on vacation or sick.

Call me if you want my help. I can do it and I can get it done right.
