Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband left our home and took my 5 year old daughter. I plan to file for divorce and get custody but how can I get her back as soon as possible? He has no job and he took the only car so I have to get someone to take me back and forth to work. He can have the car but I want my daughter back with me as soon as possible.

You would have to file a divorce with an emergency request for temporary relief and have him served papers. Depending on the facts, the judge can order him to immediately return the child. It depends on the facts of your case. But in the meantime, there is nothing you can do short of filing right away with the familt court.
