You can file for divorce on your own. You will need to serve him with a copy of your divorce petition, which might be tricky if you don't know where he is. If you can't serve him, you can still get divorced, but you will be limited as to what you can do with the property.
I know you say you can't afford an attorney, but you don't really know that until you talk to some. You might be able to find someone who will draft all the documents for you, including the deed you'll need and any alternative service pleadings that might be required to get the case going. My office does "limited scope representation" where we just do the paper work and it's a lot less expensive. You end up having the face the judge yourself, but if your paper work is done right, that is not too bad if the case is essentially uncontested due to your husband's absense.
Good luck!!
