Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband and I have been married 18 yrs. We are considering a divorce. He has a retirement account with a previous employer. His employment with this company ended four months after our marriage. We live in the State of Texas and I would like to know if I would be eligible for any of this retirement. We are currently receiving benefits from this account as we are now 65 an 67. Thank you for your help

Talk to a family law attorney in our county. You are entitled to monies accrued during your marriage. He might have to pay you spousal support.

Yes, To the extent any of the contributions or earnings in the account are community property. This would go for any accounts you have as well.
