Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If a husband has physically left his wife of 12 years but there has been no legal action and the wife makes a large purchase ($3,000 - $10,000) for repairs to their house (painting, roof work) will both parties be responsible for the bill?

No. This is covered by section 3.201 of the Famiy Code.
