Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband received a DNA testing of 99.99% parental for a 7 yr old child which the mother claimed him not to be the father until now. The child has been raised as anther man child, and has no idea about my husband as her father. My husband is thinking of giving up his parental rights. What obligation will he still have for the child?

If his parental rights are terminated, then he won't have any obligation toward the child (except possibly retroactive child support).

One does not "give up" one's parental rights. It requires a court order, and sometimes even if both parents want the father's rights to be terminated, the Judge can say "no." I've seen it happen.
