Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Husband and I had a rent house and he lived in it first but I moved in and been in it for 5 and half months. I helped him get this house when we were separated and it is in neither of our names. I was told I had to move out by cops cause he wanted me to leave and landlord try to say I didn't stay there but all my belongings were there. Then my husband told them he would give me a day to move out, so I packed up as much as I could and I put it in storage and left. He called police he said and is accusing me of stealing my own stuff and said cops are going to arrest me, can they??

You need to be able to prove that the "stuff" you took is yours.

Do you have receipts?

If the stuff you took is female underwear obviously it's not his!

If it's women's jewelry, obviously it's not his.

The cops hate getting in the middle of these type of fights.

One of you needs to file for divorce and let the judge resolve this matter.

Look on this website and on www.avvo.com for an attorney to help you.
