Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex husband and I share custody of my 13 yr old son, I have primary residents with him but now he wants to move in with his dad for the school year, my problem is the ex wants me to sign rights over to him and his new wife, the ex is always gone hes a truck driver so it will be the new wife, i dont feel comfortable doing this and im not signin over rights ever so whats a good compromise for this, n is this my legal right as his mom???

You can't change a court order by signing an agreement with the ex. You CAN make a written agreement to give him some extra time with the child.

Your other option is that you simply tell your ex that, from time to time, you will agree (orally) to let him have some extra time with your son, and you'll see how that works out.
