My husband and I are spereated since may this year. He is paying child support mthly. I have asked him for help with the car I have that is in both our names. He refuses to help me at all. Is there anything I can do?? I am losing the car because i cant afford it alone right now. So i will not have a car for transportation for me or my son.

File for divorce, and ask for temporary orders. Temporary orders can (a) order your husband to pay certain bills during the pendency of the divorce and/or (b) order him to pay temporary spousal support to you.

Temporary orders can be granted relatively soon after the filing of the divorce, sometimes only a couple of weeks after the divorce is filed.

I agree with Mark Dunn. You need to file for divorce and ask for a temporary order hearing.

Based on your Houston zip code, I highly recommend PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713-807-9405. Ask to talk to Jessica. Tell Jessica that Fran sent you.

I'm swamped right now and not accepting new cases.
