Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Me and my husband have been taking care of this 14 year old girl. We hardly no her mother. It was a family friend. The girl has been living here Thursday through monday. And the time is getting longer every week. The mom dose not care where the girl is or who she is with. It's very crazy. We have just kind of taken her in. And are providing her with clothes food and most important are time and love. We don't know what to do? We have had her for 3 months and are growing found of her and care about what she is doing when she is not with us. What should we do?

Keep her for 3 more months (total of 6) and then file for primary conservatorship of her. You will get child support from her mother if you win. I know this is not about money for you, but if you are going to raise someone else's child, you might as well get a little financial help.
For now, just keep calm so she doesn't try to yank the child back into a bad situation.
