Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband is wanting a quickie divorce by using forms from the internet. We bought a house in March of 10. We are both on the lien and title. He just wants me to sign over the house to him because he says we have no equity. Which is another issue. My question is? If I sign over the house to him, does he need to refiniance it so my name will come off the note and title? I do not want to find out that I'm responsible years down the road. From a previous divorce, in Texas also; my x-husband refinanced the property, but until he did the lien was on my credit reports. Please help, this may be the 2nd time he has ripped me off of equity in a home. The one before, did not have my name on it, which we held for 5 years. We had a verbal agreement that I was half owner in the equity, but that did not materlize when the property was sold.

From what I read in your post, you already know not to trust the internet forms or your husband. Do not be fooled yet again. Get a lawyer.
