If a husband and wife purchase a home together and he passes away with no will do his kids have a right to the home

If the kids are from a former marriage, they will have some claim to the property, but they cannot take possession of it during the lifetime of the wife. Depending on all the circumstances, they might share a 25% undivided interest in the house, which means that if it is later sold, they would be entitled to up to 25% of the net proceeds.
