Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My husband works out of state and has for the past 2 years, with him being there and us here. I have a 5 year old daughter that her father does not pay her child support and is constantly changing jobs and has had 2 different live in GF's in the past year. With that being said my husband is now taking on a year and a half job in Pennsylvania and we have tried to keep from moving, but can't any longer. What are my odds in being able to relocate with her. Our custody papers state that I reside in Harris county and the contiguous counties of Texas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to consult with an experienced family law attorney.
If you don't have one, I suggest you call Patricia Bushman at 713-807-9405. She offers payment plans. She has a lot of courtroom experience. You have a complex case that means you really need to sit down with someone and discuss your case. You have a situation that is much too complex to discuss in a brief email. If your ex is not paying child support, then I think he might be willing to cooperate if he is behind in child support. You might be willing to "negotiate" a deal that is worthwhile. (Such as not throwing him in jail for being behind in his child support if he will let you move!)
Be sure to let Pat know that I sent you to her. I rent space in her office. I'm not taking any cases because my mom just died. Pat's prices are very reasonable based on her level of courtroom experience. She's really tough. You need someone like her! I think you will like her -- very practical & she won't waste your time & money!
Good luck!
