ignore subpeona

what can happen if i ignore a subpeona to appear as a witness in court ???

i told the person and his lawyer i will not be their witness.. but i STILL was given one a week later.

The subpoena is from the court. If you ignore it, the court will send the sheriff to get you. You will get to wear the custom bracelets and the shiny ankle thingees. Oh, also, you would be subject to contempt of court with a fine and jail time. Ignore the subpoena at great risk.
