Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Immagration/Divorce
I have been married to an Egyptian man for 5-1/2 years we went thru the whole immagration process which took little over 5 years during which i financially supported him the entire time put him thru couple years of college and the only thing he contributed was cruel and abusive ... he was quite mean, but i still stood by him because marriage means something to me anyway he did work these little jobs here and there always cash and would send every dime back home. He got his Citizenship done in November and then left me on Christmas. I have begged him to please lets talk and he won't even give me the time of day, Now all of a sudden i'm the enemy. He does have a steady job but its cash also, is there anything i can get as for as alimony or anything, i want to sue him for every rotten thing he did to me!!! To the fullest. Is there such thing as loss of companionship too?

Re: Immagration/Divorce
The short answer is that you have been played.
You were not married long enough to qualify for spousal support. A judge might order temporary spousal support while the divorce is pending.
It sounds like the best thing for you to do is hire a lawyer, get a divorce and close this ugly chapter.
