Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Does inability to exercise possession mean for the whole scheduled time or can it be a few days of the scheduled visit and also is the alternative weekend for parents that live less than 100 miles apart?

Unless you have a mutual agreement, generally (and there are always exceptions) most judges would require a parent to wait 30 minutes for the other parent to arrive to exercise possession and access. If they do not show, then generally that period is abandoned. That said, it is NEVER a good idea for parents to refuse to cooperate with rescheduling due to legitimate conflicts. The courts are well aware that people have busy lives, and often the child has scheduled activities. Judges tend to frown on parents who refuse to accommodate the efforts of the other parent and/or the schedule of the child. The goal is to have a relationship with both parents. Sorry, but the I don't understand the last part of your question regarding alternative weekends.
