increased child support payments

my exwife just doubled my child support payments without my knowledge. my current income is less than half of what i made at the time of the divorce. my check is garnered and i have no money to live on. can something be done?

You ex probably had nothing to do with it. Since you dont's seem to have been back to Court, my guess is you were behind on your child support and the AG's office administratively started taking additional monies to pay off the arrearage.

You can apply to the AG for a child support review or get your own attorney to file a modification of support for you. It's your job to make sure you support obligation reflects your current income level.
