Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Increasing child support

Can I file for a judge to review new income (after five years) and make a judgment about an increase in child support? If so, what is the form, how do I get it, and how do I file it?

You must file a motion to modify with the court. A motion to modify is an original lawsuit. I'm sure you can find some forms online. But you are going to have to go to court for a contested trial if your ex does not agree to the modification.

Lawyers can't tell you how to do things like a lawyer - or even where to find such instructions - if they exist. I went to law school 3 years and rarely received a set of instructions. If you can't figure it out, it might be worth your while to hire a lawyer because you are the one missing out on the increased child support.
