Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was informed that in the state of texas that if a father or a mother does not give money to the other to support the child in question that they can go to a judge and ask for their parental rights to be terminated. Is this true?

It's possible, but rare. Judges would prefer to keep the parent liable for the support of the child. Other options exist to collect child support, such as Petitions to Enforce, and Petitions for Contempt. Usually parental rights are not terminated unless a stepparent is willing to step in and adopt the child. Every situation varies, and you should consult an attorney regarding your options.
