Can you tell me the interest amount that would accrue monthly on child support arrears on a balance of 11,068.93 @ 6% interest? Also, if this case had arrears due before 2001, would the interest rate change from 12% to 6% after January 2002 when the interest rate was lowered in Texas?

Yes, the statutory interest rate changed for child support arrearages, and it is now 6%.

6% interest on $11,068 would be about $50 per month.
