Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Interferring with child custody

Joint custody of two children, Exwife had them this year for chirstmas and did not return them till after new years. No christmas for me with my chidlren. should of been returned the Dec,26.

Filed a report with the police department, charges were brought she was put on bond. The case was set with the DA's office crimmnal court. The case was reset four times only to be dismissed. The reason the DA tells us is because this was a family issue and she did not have the skills to proceed. My question is why would they have filed this in this court, put her on bond, reset four times only to dismiss Then to top it all off I only found out because my children went for visiation this weekend and were told ha ha got away with it. What is that teaching them

Can this case be brought back up in family court and why and how could this happen?

Re: Interferring with child custody

You can file contempt in family court.

Any attorney you retain would need a certified copy of your Final decree of Divorce or the last active pleading that the Judge signed. That document is the controlling document.

Good luck!
