Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Interlocutory Divorces in TX , Do They Occur Here?

I need to know if Texas has interlocutory divorces. Because I have been told that my husband can cancel out our divorce just by appealing the decision to pay out my divorce settlement to me. Is this true?

No, a divorce can be appealed and only certain items taken up on appeal, but that has to be done fairly quickly. Once the divorce is final (usually 30 days after it is entered) then it cannot have a regular appeal.

If it is appealed within the proper time then it is not technically cancelled. It just never took effect because it was not final.

You need to talk to an attorney and since there are some real short time period involved, you need to do so quickly.
