Yes, you can sit down with an attorney, disccuss how you want the papers prepared and sign them when complete. You can file yourself or can have the attorney file for you and represent you in court. If uncontested only one person has to attend the hearing but if you both can, it will make it go smoothly. If you both use the same attorney you will need to discuss waiving service and waiving any conflicts. Sometimes using online site may result in the language that a court may not approve. Regardless you should always consult with an attorney before spending money.

Beware of the on-line kits! They are usually sold by companies outside of the State of Texas & they do not include the required TX & Harris county forms.
