Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Jail/Attorney's fees

My ex tried to take my children away but failed since I had done nothing wrong, in the mean time we have been going to court quite a bit over just about anything. I have no money, he does, I was told I would have to pay his attorney's fees and court cost although I had a free attorney through legal aid. I had just lost my job at the time, it's been a year now, still no job and I haven't paid the fees. Can they put me in jail for not paying his attorney's fees?

Re: Jail/Attorney's fees

Well, if it was ordered, you could be held in contempt & finally sent to jail. There are ways around this. Too bad your legal aid didn't take care of this for you. sorry.
