Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have no job !!! I have been a stay at home Mom for almost 19 yrs!!! We have always had to live with his parent & he refuses to help me with anything !!! He has slandered my name where he works!!! He has my 16 yr old child believing I am doing him wrong!! He has cut my cell phone off so I can't talk to my son!!! I am a diabetic since age 9 & I am 39 now & I have high blood pressure with no insurance I don't even have dr.'s now I have depression & anxiety problems!!! I have no lawyer because I can't afford due to no job!!! I also need to know about legal separation!!!

I am sorry that you are going through so much trouble.

There is no such thing as legal separation in Texas. You are either married or you are not.

If he has any savings, you can get the court to order him to pay your attorney's fees. Savings is usually community property and you have as much right to it as he does.

If I were you, I would go find some piece of a job and pay my own cell phone bill. None of the maladies you've listed should keep you from doing a job of some sort and most people are one job away from freedom.

Try to get a job at Starbucks. With 20 hours per week, you can have health insurance.
