Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My ex and I have joined custody of our 6 year old and agreed before divorce, off paper, if he took him for a 2nd Christmas I can go to Germany this summer. Our sons passport is expired, travel date is 8 weeks away and I purchased a nonrefundable ticked because he gave me a timeframe to travel. Now he changed his mind and wont let our son go anymore. Divorce papers state he has our son over the summer therefor my ex said he will not get a passport nor let my son travel and tells me because we cant agree we have to fall back to the divorce degreed. He also lied about the divorce (I do have witnesses to prove he did so) which was uncontested since I couldnt afford legal representation, made me sing papers saying they arent final or I would have never signed, then turning them in without doing the changes I wanted. What can I do to get the passport so my son can travel and the divorce invalidated.

You need to consult with an attorney in your area.
The divorce decree controls. Basically, 30 days after the judge grants the divorce it becomes a final legal document.
If your current arrangement is not working, then file to modify.
You need an attorney. Look on this website and on www.avvo.com for help.
I also suggest that you mediate your issues rather than litigate them. Mediation can be more flexible than a judge can be on making decisions regarding the child.
