Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
joint child custody
According to my divorce decree, my ex-husband is to have custody of the 3 children (ages 18, 16 and 16)every other weekend and for 6 weeks during the summer. My ex is NOT complying with this agreement, though he says he wants to. What are my options?

Re: joint child custody
If he is not visiting the children, you cannot make him take them.
If he wants to change week-ends, most Texas divorces start with a paragraph under "Visitation section" saying that you can do whatever you want to do if it's mutually agreeable. If you can't agree, then the court designated times apply.

Re: joint child custody
You have some options, but good luck forcing three children who are adult and nearly adult to spend time with someone who doesn't have an interest.
What do your kids want from him?
You will never be able to force him to comply with visitation, as it is his right of visitation, not his obligation.
If you can demonstrate that he has shown no effort in exercising visitation, then you may be able to increase child support. TCL
