In Texas, joint custody is presumed. Of course, the presumption can be overcome.

It does NOT mean that you won't be paying child support.

The Houston Bar Association has a wonderful website that has an excellent booklet on Family Law. It is free.

The Texas Family Code is also available on-line and you can read the legal definition for joint custody.

Good luck!
