If you have joint custody involving one child and the other parent tries to kill themselves and is in the hospital now for an undisclosed amount of time, can I do anything about the other parents visitation rights?

You can file a motion for modification that asks for temporary orders, and ask that his visitation be stopped NOW. I wouldn't trust this person to have possession of my children.

I'd be in an attorney's office today asking for emergency modification orders to modify the visitation orders to protect the children.
