Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My ex and I have joint custody of our son. He has extremely extended visitation rights. Every wednesday, thursday, and friday, and the following wednesday and thursday and so on and so forth. And one weekend a month. He has completely stopped picking up our son since March 12th, 2010. Including spring break (which he was ordered to have visitation the entire week) and our sons birthday. My sons residence, therefore mine as well, is restricted to Bexar and Guadalupe County in Texas. We have no family here and it is extremely hard for us being so isolationed from family suport. I have not a single dime to take him back to court and i have been denyed by two different legal aide serves because he hasn't tried to assault me since. Is there any other way to be able to leave Texas?

Consider asking for assistance from the nearest law school.
All you need to do is file a motion for modification that asks to change the geographic restriction. You file it, you get Dad served, and you set it for trial.
