Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have joint custody with my son father and he's not going by the temporary court order, he has been keeping him away from me. He states that there is a safety issue yet I help take care of him older 3 children that he has nothing to do with. In the order it states that an officer or someone can enforce it, yet I have been told that they can't. My attorney is doing what he can with the money I have given him(I'm struggling to pay). Is there anything I can do so that I can get my son when im supposed to, his father has kept him away from me since the last weekend of june and I don't know what else to do.

If it's time for you to have your child, but he's being withheld by Dad, go ahead and call the police. Be sure to have a copy of the signed temporary order. The police in some jurisdictions will help you; some cops just won't do it.

One remedy is to sue Dad for violating the order. You ask the Court to find him in contempt and put him in jail.
