Can a judge decide on taxes
my ex soon to be wants me to file taxes with him i have been seperated since may 2001 an to claim our daughter every other year on taxes i want agree so should i let a judge will they let him do this can they

Since you are not divorced, you can file a joint return with your soon to be ex. It might be to your financial advantage. Make sure the check is sent to you, and you can make an agreement to be enforced by the court that you and he would split the proceeds. As far as the dependent exemption, the court can make a decision on the every other year option. Usually, it depends upon who is contributing the most support.
