Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Judge, Lawyer

I am getting a divorce and the judge and the lawyer, for my husband, worked in the same law firm. I have had 3 lawyers and the judge rules in my husband's favor all but 1 time. I am out of money and on the door step of selling my house to pay for a lawyer. The only ruling was for the kids. Are they breaking any Texas laws or ethics?

Re: Judge, Lawyer

Possibly. You should have asked the judge to excuse himself from this case on the basis of your knowledge. You might try it now, but it's probably too late. Sorry. Our system is far from perfect, but it's better than a lot of others. And politics and favoritism is a part of almost every system.
