associated judges

what is the exact function of the associated judge in family court ?.... what is the total difference between the presiding (main) judge and the assoc. judge ?

i was pro-se at temp hearing, i was award primary in home study results. i did excellent at temp hearing. ex got caught in many lies at temp hearing and hm study...but ex stayed as temp primary.!!!!

does the main judge make the actual switch of primary to the other parent at final hearing and not the associated judge at temp hearing ????????

I suggest you get a good family law attorney to represent you immediately. If this case is a complex enough to require a home study, it is probably too complex for you to be representing yourself. You may not have done as well at the hearing as you thought since the Court (in this case the associate judge) did not change primary custody. Real law is not like TV. Just tripping up the other side on the stand does not mean you win.
