Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Judgment lawsuit

My father abandonded me and my two brothers in 1955. Feb 18, 2007 my brother Nick died as the result of brain cancer. Due to Arizona state law, even though he has had NO CONTACT with myself or my two brothers (both deceased) he will receive half of my brother's estate (he died intestate). He has made no offers to share this windfall. Would it be possible to secure a judgment against him as punishment for 50+ years of neglect and non-payment of any child support?

Re: Judgment lawsuit

Statute of limitations ran out long ago on child support in TX. If your brother did not want him to have anything, he should have made a will. I guess he wasn't thinking about it at all though. Sorry for the loss of your brother and the bad feelings revisited concerning your father.

If he died in Arizona you would need to contact an attorney in Arizona.
