jurisdiction of child custody

How long does my ex have to live in TX before I can petition to have jurisdiction of our child custody case transferred to TX. Previously she lived in Louisiana with our child. Now we both live in TX.

Re: jurisdiction of child custody

In order for TX to have jurisdiction, the person must live in Texas at least 6 months and in the same county for 90 days.
