Kidnapping

I found out my ex-boyfriend is in jail awaiting court for capital murder, he hid my son for almost 3yrs, the law never helped me, said its a civil matter, Ihave to take it to court, his grandparents have him now, but i have no address, what can i do just to see him, make sure he is doing well. How can i get him back while i start my case? He was abusive to me? I was young at the time, not married, lived with him but when i moved out, he took my son and never saw him again, since then, I went into a depression and got a good job in repographics, take care of my brother that is graduating this year and went back to school. please adviswe.

Am unsure why you did not get assistance before, but if there is a pending custody case, you need to file for conservatorship.

Many attorneys will work with you on a payment plan. Look through this site for an attorney in your area.

You have rights, as the mother of this child, and they will be recognized by the court only if you assert them.

Contact the AG, and contact the bar association for referrals to low cost legal clinics, or organizations. Help is out there, but you have to keep searching.
