Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
LA vs. TX Custody
Does sole custody mean that I am signing my rights over? She is in Louisiana and I am in Texas. Do the laws differ?

The laws are different in each state. If she is getting sole custody, then you are not signing over your parental rights, per se, but your rights will be severely restricted. You should consult an attorney in the county where the lawsuit is pending.
