is it too late
Well here's my question, I have 2 children from my first spouse. He left us when my son was 1 and my daughter wasn't even born yet. I have had no contact with him since. My son is now 9 and my daughter will be 8 next month. I have never received any fiancial support from him at all. Now in this day in time the older the children are getting the more expensive things are getting for me. If I were to try to collect monthly child support now would I be able to or have too many years gone by?

No. Go after him. While I guess you are not receiving any State aid. the AG's office should help you. They might be able to find him and get the child support started in 3-4 years, but you would still be entitled to the back child support from the day the 1st child was born. If you don't want to wait on the AG's office, contact me by email.

Generally, you may always petition the court for retro-active child support from birth of the first child. If you wnat to be on a never ending list and wait for an extended time period, you may contact the Attorney General's Office to assist you. If you want to get things moving now, you should contact a local law firm to assist you.
