Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Is There A Law About This?
My daughter's husband of only a little over a month just walked out on her. He went back to CA where he was from. She is so hurt over this. She did not hear from him for 5 day's. She didn't know if he was dead or what. Then after so many call's to his phone, he called her. He told her he was not coming back to TX. and did not want to be married any longer. She ask him to please come back so they could work out what ever it was that was wrong, but he said no. Is there a law in TX. about a man just up and leaving his wife? Can he just come back and get what he left when he walked out on her? I would think it all goes to her since he just left her, and everything else, which is not much. I thank you for any answer's you can give me.

File for divorce. Go for all property. Each gets property in thier possession. He has a right to 1/2 of community property if he asserts it.
