What is the law concerning providing financial support for a child that reaches the age of 18 years? Does it make a difference if the 18 year old is working?

Child support (generally) is payable until the child is 18 years old or finishes high school, whichever is latest. It doesn't make any difference whether or not he's working - assuming that he's still living with Mom.
It does make a difference if he's 18 and has dropped out of high school.
