Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Is there a law stating that the mother cannot establish child support if the child is over age 4? She is unsure who the father is, but If we had to establish paternity and it came out positive, could she still file for child support if the child is over age 4 in the state of Texas?

Yes, she can file a paternity action at any time, and ask the Court to award child support.
