Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Can we get one lawyer for our divorce if we agree on everything? My husband and I agree on everything from custody, child support, finances, and belongings. We just need someone to fill out the paper work file it and help with that stuff. My husband is in the military in California. Could I hire and attorney tell him/her what we agreed on and what we want so they can draw it up and I sign it mail it to him and he signs it and we are done? My husband will deploy in the fall and we are wanting all the documents and everything done by then hopefully.

A single attorney cannot represent both parties to a divorce action, but one party's attorney can draft all of the paperwork for an uncontested divorce as you have suggested in your inquiry.
