Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I had my lawyer file a petition for divorce in February, but decided to change lawyers before any other progress was made in the divorce. Now my new lawyer is talking about filing a 'Notice of Appearance'. What is this - or why is it necessary at this point - and how much does it generally cost?

Yes it is necessary.

How much does it cost? It depends on how much an hour you are paying?
