My lawyer was hired by another firm (Texas) can I request that my case go with her as we dont' want the current firm to assign another attorney?

The contract was signed by the attorney and me.

Your attorney probably cannot ask you to go with her. But if you want to fire your current firm & then hire this person, it is acceptable. You are a client of the "firm" but you don't have to stay with it if you don't want to.

Call the attorney & see if she can talk to you. She might have to be very careful about what she discusses with you during this transition.

If you clearly state that you want "her" & not the "firm", she might be able to give you some "hints" to help.
