Lawyer Lagging On Case

What rights does one have regarding their lawyer taking nearly two years for a child support modification. Payment for lawyer representation was required up front. The lawyer will not return phone calls. Last heard from the lawyer was by letter in August 2000. This case remains unsolved. What legal rights does one have?
