Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can a lawyer legally disclose my divorce decree to a stranger with all my person

My lawyer have my final divorce decree with all my personal information, address, social, birthdate, phone, children's names, ages, social, vehicle ID#, everything to a potential client. Is this legal? What action can I take if any? This potential client has only given me her first name and no other identifying information. She just wanted me to know he had done this.

A final divorce decree is generally a public record and can be obtained by anyone who goes to the courthouse and makes a copy. A final divorce decree also generally does not include all of the information you listed. I would get an exact copy of what was released to the other person to determine whether your attorney gave a public record (no violation) or other privileged information (potential violation).
