Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My lawyer lied to me because she was in a hurry to take the next case, so I agreeed on what I knew was not fair but was pressured to agree on.My lawyer said to agree or the judge would sell my house in which my son 16, daughter18,and her daughter 3months live with me in the home. My lawyer told me to agree and we will appeal it that was the only chose I had, so I agreed. I haven't signed any papers yet, Can I get a motion for new trial? My lawyer is not an appeal lawyer I learned after the fact.

If you aren't happy with your lawyer's performance, you have a right to terminate her at any time and seek new counsel. I suggest that you seek advice from a lawyer you trust to determine if you have any options at this point. Motions for new trial are very complex, usually dealing with procedural matters.
Good luck,
