Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Leave custodial parent

My daughter will be 18 The first of August. She will graduate the last week of May 2008. She wants to come live with me(Dad) and her siblings. I have always had regular visitation and am more than happy to continue to pay child support through August even though she would be with me. But her mother has indicated she will turn her in as a runaway and me of jkidnapping even though i am suppose to ahve her the 45 days during the summe, which puts her with-in a couple of weeks of her 18th birthday. Should we call the police in the town she is in and explain she is with me so if her mother turns her in, she will not be in trouble with the law. By the time we got to court she would be 18.

Re: Leave custodial parent

The simple answer is for her to just go back to Mom's until after her birthday. Once she is 18, she can live where she wants.
